ARTISTS OF MALLORCA ART PRIZE 2025

The 2025 edition of the Artists of Mallorca Art Prize is open for submissions until 16 July 2025. We are really looking forward to seeing all the fantastic entries this year! As always, the theme is ´Mallorca´, and each artist is free to represent that as they like.

For this 4th edition of the competition, I am delighted to welcome Lightwall as sponsors. Based in Palma, they are known for their exceptional prints, but, as those of us who attended their recent workshop know, they can do so much more to help enhance artwork, with lots of creative ideas.

The winner of this years Art Prize will receive 3000€ worth of printing from Lightwall, as well as a gift of 1000€.

There will be a 2 week finalists exhibition held in the Museu de Soller from 1 - 16 August, please note that the final will be held on Friday 15 August, from 20.00.

The Elección Popular was such a success last year that we will be holding it again this year, so visitors to the exhibition can vote for their favourite.

PLEIN AIRE DRAWING

Yesterday, 17.5.25, was the first of the drawing sessions held at the Botanic Gardens in Soller. I had been thinking of trying to do some outdoor drawing sessions, particularly in Spring and Autumn, so when Jeannine Cook got in touch to collaborate with these, I was really pleased to get involved. It was a really lovely way to spend a morning, drawing in the garden and having a cup of tea and a chat with the other people there.

The next one takes place on 14 June, and places are already full with a waiting list! Perhaps it is something to do more of. Let me know your thoughts.

TÚNEL DE L'ARTE

This year's Túnel de l'Arte exhibition will take place from 27 - 29 June in the Port de Sóller.

16 artists will be showing their work in this unique location. It's only open for the weekend, so make sure you don't miss the chance to see it!

Open Friday 27 June 18.00 - 21.00

Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 from 14.00 - 20.00.

I will be there all weekend, so come along and say hello!
