Art Prize 2024

Terms and Conditions

The theme of the prize is 'Mallorca' and each artist is free to interpret that.

There is no charge for entry. Entries open on May 3 and close on July 17 2024, late entries will not be considered.

There is one Artists of Mallorca prize of 1000€ as a gift, and the judges decision on the winner is final. No correspondence will be entered into. 

The winner of the prize will retain ownership of their artwork.


Artists are required to submit their works as images via the online application form which you can access here.


All artists who submit work will be added to directory, and we may ask you to provide further images of your work.  

If you are a selected finalist, you will  be notified by 22 July and we will expect you to bring your work on 31 July for the finalists exhibition, to be held in the Museu de Soller, Calle de Sa Mar 13, Soller from 2 to 17 August.  The final will be on 16 August from 20.00 and finalists must attend the final.  If you are a finalist and do not attend the final, your work will not be considered for the prize.

Additionally, during the exhibition, visitors will be invited to vote for their favourite work, with the artist with most votes receiving a trophy.  This will also be announced on 16 August.


Each artist may only enter once, up to 2 works.

Judging will take place throughout the entry period, and will be based on the judges combined views of the overall merits of the work.  Judges decisions are final throughout the process, and no correspondance will be entered into. accepts works previously published and exhibited elsewhere.

There are no restrictions to the size of work, however, do bear in mind that the final will be held physically in Soller, and work will need to be brought there.

The prize is open to all visual artists (unfortunately, we cannot currently accept video) working in Mallorca, with no age limitations.

Artists agree to using the artists work for any publicity relating to the website and the prize.


You will retain the copyright to your work.  Artists confirm that they have the intellectual property right to submit the work as their own.

Any entries that consider (in our absolute discretion) to be illegal, racist, copied, or infringe on the rights or copyright of others will be immediately disqualified.

Applicants agree that if they are the winner, they will take part in and co-operate fully with reasonable publicity and to the use of their name, photograph and any comments in such publicity without any fee being payable. accepts no liability for any works submitted to the prize, and/or exhibited at the final. accepts no responsibility for system errors or other issues that may result in disruption to, lost, delayed or not received entries. 

In the unlikely event of the competition having to be cancelled, accepts no responsibility for any costs or other issues arising from this.
