Autumn Exhibition

It has been a long, hot summer, full of art!

I recently travelled to Washington DC for a family wedding, so took the opportunity to go to the National Gallery of Art. The building itself is a work of art, let alone the fantastic collection. I went twice and didn't even see a third of what's there. It was refreshing to be able to go into such a prestigious gallery without having to queue. Even the Da Vinci was not crowded. Fortunately, I had some space in my suitcase, so could bring back the book of the collection - all 3.2kg of it! Looking forward to relaxing in the winter with the famous artists.

Closer to home, the Autumn exhibition is from 3 to 25 October in the Museu de Soller.

Participants are Adrian Elgie, Leo O'Donnell, winner of the Artists of Mallorca Art Prize 2025, Sharon MacLaren, Janis Baer, Oriol Angrill and Ramon Rullan. Ramon is not actually a child, this is a portrait of him painted by Erwin Hubert.

I have recently been working on some landscapes, which I am going to exhibit this time, so hopefully you can come along and see them.

The inauguration is on Friday 3 October 19.30, and everyone is welcome to come along. The exhibition will remain in place until the Museum closes for the winter on 25 October.

2026

I am already planning for 2026, with exhibitions in April, June and October. Please remember, if you want to take part in these, you have to let me know exhibition by exhibition.

The final of the Art Prize will take place in September next year, so will also launch a bit later, but the theme, as always, will be Mallorca.

Dates are always published on the website homepage, so it's worth checking it regularly. It's also worth making sure that your work is up to date, there have been 7500 visitors to the site this year, all looking to see art from the island.

Hope to see you in October!

Saludos

Sharon
