Débora Martínez Cuadra

Débora M.C. is a self-taught visual artist who began painting in 2025, following a professional background in engineering and music. Her practice emerged from a need to explore and transform emotional experience through colour, material and gesture. Working primarily with abstract painting and mixed media, she creates tactile, layered surfaces using paper, modelling paste, gravel and other materials. Her work explores vulnerability, anger, injustice and transformation. Her intuitive process embraces experimentation, allowing each work to evolve through the interaction of colour, texture and gesture.
