PetraEveline Dahmen

PetraEveline Dahmen was born in 1962 and studied graphic-design and interior-architecture in Düsseldorf and Aachen, Germany. Since 1988 she lived as a painter and photographer in Berlin and worked also for culture events and organisation of exhibitions in museums and galleries in Germany.

Since over 30 years she has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad, being awarded many prices and scholarships in Turkey, France and Great Britain.

She lives and works in Port de Sóller, Mallorca.

PetraEveline Dahmen's art is the essence of her love to nature and to life. With her photography she captures reality, and with painting she reflects it in turn. In her works, inspiration as a form of understanding and response can be felt everywhere.

Her works are based on a vitalized concept of life. Where everything flows, where everything is in motion, where outlines are dissolved, erased, where everything oscillates and slides into open processes. It is a pictorial monologue. The gliding of sensations, of longing and the questioning of reality. The world as an energetic field. An abstract process, a metamorphosis of the concrete, of imagination and passion.

Her paintings and photographs are excerpts of our lives - an artistic philosophical meditation on life.
