Story of a Painting
In 2023, I ( Sharon MacLaren) took a series of photos to paint from, and did a version of this painting (above in the gallery) that I was never totally happy with, mainly because I had rushed it for an exhibition. I decided to have another go.
I also used AI for feedback as I was going through the process, read more in my blog Art and AI
It took a month to paint this, not unusual for me, and I wanted to show the steps as people have commented that they enjoy seeing them on my Instagram.
Something a little different while we wait to know the finalists of the Art Prize!
Artists of Mallorca Art Prize 2026
The 5th edition of the Artists of Mallorca Art Prize is now open for entries!
We are looking forward to seeing all of the fabulous art. The final will be held on the 26th of September in the Museu de Sóller.
Please read the terms and conditions before entering using this form, entries close on the 16th of August.
